Chief Scout Award

This year we are kicking off the Chief Scout Award for our eligible Wednesday Night Cubs.

Cormac will be the mentor for the group and will be assisted through the year by the other Leaders.
The follow are the requirements to achieve the Chief Scout Award for CubsA Cub Scout should be in their final year in the section when they begin the Cub Scout Chief Scout Award.

Special Interest
The Cubs need to earn 1  in each of the following areas:
– Skill
– Physical
– Community
– Environment
Adventure Skills
They need to earn two Stage 2 badges and one Stage 4 badge.
Expedition
– Walking 20 Km over an 8 hour day
Residential/Inter-cultural
– Shared activity with a group in a residential/camp setting for 3 days and 2 nights, must include and inter-cultural aspect.

A minimum of 9 months duration.

Research for 11th March
List of what to do with a suspected poisoning.
Escape plan for their house in the event of a fire.

Research for 25th March
If you have contact with any other cubs in a group outside 5th Wicklow, ask them if their group has a chief scout award group and if they still need to go on their camp with another group.

Work for 22nd April
Make a homemade personal. It must be made yourself and cannot be bought pre-made.

Reminder for Camp
Everyone who is staying in tents on Friday and Saturday must bring extra, warm clothes as it could get cold during the night.
