Photos tonight

Dear Parents

Wicklow Mountain Rescue have suggested that they may request a photographer to come down and take pictures for the Wicklow times.  If anyone objects to their Cub being in a picture that could end up in the paper, can you please let one of the Leaders know.

Please do drop down if you want, all you need is a Knecker.

Kilruddery House and Gardens 12 October 2014

This afternoon Wednesday Night Cubs joined Cubs and Beavers from all across the county for a Beaver and Cub day in Kilruddery House and Gardens.
The sun shone all day and you could be fooled into think it was the middle of the summer.
We hike for 2.5 hours had our lunch and headed for home tired but happy.

Our Cub Bloggers – Important Note for Parents

As you may know each of the Sixes now have their own page on the website.
Each month one of the Six will be the “Six Blogger”
They will keep a diary of what they as a Six did during the month and it will be posted to the site.
The Sixers will be our Bloggers for October.

To have pictures, notes, photos posted to the website you can do one of two things.

  1. Bring down the pictures etc to Rory and he will scan them in and post to the website.
  2. Email the information to Rory and he will post to the website.

NOTES

ONLY Rory has access rights to post to the Website
ONLY material reviewed and approved by the Leaders will be posted to the website.
If anyone wants anything removed from the website for any reason they should contact Rory who will remove it without question
If the Cubs choose to email the information they MUST put a parent or guardian on the email also, if they fail to do so, parents will be notified.
Rory will reply ONLY to parents or guardians to notify them when the material is available on the site.
NO emails will be sent to the Cubs
If any Parent wants to discuss our Blog further please feel free to contact Rory.

Wednesday 8th October

Hi all,

Tonight we talked about the Cub day in Kilruddery. Here are the details.

  • Where – Kilruddery
  • When – Sunday 12th October
  • Start Time – 1.45pm
  • Finish Time – 5pm
  • Meet at the main gates of Kilruddery
  • Collect at main gates of Kilruddery
  • Cost – €2
  • Gear – Small packed lunch, rain-gear, good boots shoes.
  • Knecker – Knecker is a must have, if you don’t have one you WILL be sent home to get it

After that we played ship shore which was a close run thing with Matthew just finishing ahead of Peter.

We talked about our Subs and our consent forms which should be back to us asap.
We did Grand Howl and headed home

Wednesday 1st October

Hi all,

Subs of €125 are due by 22nd Oct. 10% discount for anyone with a sibling in the Group. Please talk in the strictest of confidence to one of the Leaders about the Subs if you need to.

Tonight we discussed the new Sixes, Bear, Wolf, Lion, Puma and Falcon.
We we given new membership forms to be filled out. Please make sure that all medical information is provided. It is all confidential.

We played shoes and shapes.

We then promoted some of the Cubs to Senior Sixers, they’ll be moving to Scouts soon.

We also promoted new Sixers and Seconders and then divided the rest of the pack into the new watches.

Our Sixers are: Erin, Jessica, Niamh, Chloe and Dara
Our Seconders are: Mannix, Claudia, Jacob, Jack and Ray.
Congratulations to all on their promotions.

Each Six has a page on the website and it is up to them to fill it.
This month the Sixers will be the Six Blogger and will give Rory what they want posted to their page. Next month it will be the turn of the Seconders and so on.

The Leaders won’t be posting to the pages (with the exception of Rory)
If the Cubs don’t have anything to post they end up with a blank page.

We did Grand Howl and headed home.

Annual Subs are due

Hi all,

Annual Subs of €125 are now due for all Cubs.
Subs must be in by Wed 22nd October
If you have a brother or sister in the Group there is a 10% discount so please make sure the Leaders know.
