Wednesday 12th June

Hi all,

Tonight was our last night before the summer break so me made the most of it having another great night out on the water.
Everyone helped to get the gear ready, boat, paddles and life jackets were all sorted in double quick time.
Once everyone had their life jackets checked we headed to the beach.
As always we were reminded about safety on the water and off we went.

The weather was kind to us, now the blazing heat we have got used to but at least it wasn’t raining.
We paddled, we splashed, we fell in and most important we had good fun.
Once we got the gear stowed away and got changed we headed home.

We also said goodbye to Stella who, with her family are heading off to Europe on an adventure.
From all in Wednesday Night Cubs we wish them well on their travels.

We’re back on Wednesday 4th September at the usual time.

So from all the Leaders and Instructors have a great summer holidays.

Final night before the summer break

Hi all,

Please note that next week Wednesday 12th June is our final night before we break for the summer.
We are planning on getting out on the water so be at the Den for 6.30pm
And please remember to bring towels and change of close.
Suitable footwear, old runners must be worn when in the water to protect your feet.
Wellies, crocs are not suitable.

Wednesday 5th June

Hi all,

Tonight we started with some footdrill. We learnt how to fall in at arm and elbows length. After that we fell in two deep, first of all by the number and then by ourselves.

After we did the roll we headed out to the green area by the beach car park to make the most of the good weather.
We played Cowboys and Indians and Stuck in the Mud with the instructors doing the chasing.

While the games were going on we also roasted some marshmallows.

We headed back to the den and went home.
